There’s something truly special about summer weddings at Crockwell Farm — the soft countryside light, the mix of rustic barns and rolling fields, and that feeling of calm joy that runs through the day.Rhys and Naomi’s wedding on 28th July 2025 captured all of that and more — a perfect balance of laughter, emotion, and effortless style.

As their Crockwell Farm wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing both the bride and groom preparations, and from the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a day filled with warmth and connection.

Morning prep — calm, laughter, and a few happy tears

Naomi got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, who looked stunning in nude tones that perfectly complemented the natural, countryside setting. Her wedding dress was a real showstopper — elegant, romantic, and complete with a beautifully detailed lace train that caught the light perfectly every time she moved.

Over in the groom’s prep, Rhys and his groomsmen were keeping things relaxed in subtle green suits — a stylish and timeless choice that tied in effortlessly with the day’s white, green and nude florals. There was a perfect mix of nerves and excitement in the air, along with a few cheeky laughs over a beer before heading to the ceremony.

One of my favourite moments from the morning was when Rhys and their guests listened to an emotional voice note before the ceremony begun. It was one of those intimate, personal touches that remind you what weddings are really about — love, connection, and all the little in-between moments.

The ceremony at Crockwell Farm

Crockwell’s ceremony barn looked incredible with its soft natural light and simple greenery décor. The atmosphere was heartfelt and full of joy — a perfect reflection of who Rhys and Naomi are as a couple.

As they exchanged vows surrounded by their closest friends and family, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The combination of rustic textures, elegant florals, and genuine emotion made for a ceremony that was as timeless as it was personal.

After the confetti (always one of my favourite shots!), guests relaxed in the courtyard with drinks and live music, soaking in the sunshine and that unmistakable Crockwell charm.

Portraits, golden light, and a 5-minute sunset

Rhys and Naomi were a dream to photograph — relaxed, affectionate, and completely in the moment. We took a short wander around the grounds for some portraits, keeping it light and natural so they could enjoy time together rather than posing.

And just when we thought the light had gone, the sunset peeked through for a quick five-minute golden session — the kind of glow that makes you stop and breathe it all in. Those spontaneous, fleeting moments are exactly why I love documentary wedding photography — no staging, no stress, just honest beauty.

The details and décor

The styling throughout the day was understated elegance — white, green, and nude florals, soft linens, and subtle rustic touches that complemented Crockwell’s natural tones. Every detail felt personal and cohesive, from the table settings to the simple candlelight that filled the barn as the evening began.

As the night went on, the dance floor came alive — laughter, hugs, and a whole lot of joy.

Why I love photographing weddings at Crockwell Farm

Crockwell Farm is one of my favourite Northamptonshire wedding venues for relaxed, story-driven photography. The combination of open countryside, natural light, and a warm, welcoming team makes every wedding feel special. It’s the perfect backdrop for couples who want their day to feel genuine and beautifully unforced.

Rhys and Naomi’s wedding was everything I love about photographing love stories — natural, emotional, and full of heart.
