Nestled beside the River Kennet in the beautiful Berkshire countryside, The Old Mill Aldermaston is a truly special setting for a wedding day. With 22 acres of private grounds, riverside views, original oak beams and charming historic details, there are beautiful photography opportunities around every corner.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I love venues like The Old Mill because there is so much atmosphere and character to work with. From quiet morning preparations and emotional ceremony moments to champagne, confetti, laughter and dancing, my aim is to capture your day naturally while allowing you to enjoy every moment.
A venue full of character
The Old Mill offers several beautiful spaces for your wedding, including the Stable Room, Conservatory, Patio and Mill Room. The Conservatory provides panoramic views across the river and grounds, while the outdoor Patio offers the opportunity to say your vows surrounded by the River Kennet.
The grounds are particularly beautiful for portraits. We can wander through the gardens, make the most of the riverside setting and find pockets of light and greenery for relaxed photographs of the two of you.
And because the venue is exclusively yours for the day, there's plenty of opportunity to capture your wedding without feeling rushed or surrounded by another event.
Your wedding, your way
I don't believe your wedding photographs should feel like a photoshoot.
I'll gently guide you when you need a little direction, particularly during your couple portraits and family photographs, but for the majority of your day I'll step back and let things unfold naturally.
Expect photographs filled with real laughter, happy tears, hugs, movement and all the little moments in between.
Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a lively evening reception, I'll tell the complete story of your day in a way that feels authentic to you.
